Southern Gospel: Classic Clip

Indulge me a minute while I participate in a little shameless self promotion.  As an extension of this blog, there are other social media platforms you can find Southern Gospel Views from the Back Row.

First, there is a YouTube channel where I’m attempting to keep Southern Gospel music from the ’60s/’70s/’80s/’90s alive.  If there is a particular song from this era you would like to see on the channel, drop me a line.

Also, several weeks ago I started providing weekly playlists on both Apple Music and Spotify.  There will be four weekly playlists available at any given time, with a new playlist available every Monday.  On Apple Music, search Southern Gospel Back Row and on Spotify, search SGVBR.  Drop me a line to let me know you’re listening.  Thanks for allowing me to be a small part in preserving Southern Gospel music.

  1. I was already subscribed to your channel, but I had overlooked that page where it shows you have such a wide diversity of the great days of southern gospel. I didn’t notice anything by the Rambos, although you do have Dottie Rambo songs featured by other artists. Too bad if you never got to see the Rambos in person. It often changes your perspective and the impact of the artists when one does get to see them in person as I was privileged to do with Dottie Rambo, Andrae Crouch and many others back in the 1960s and 70s. I guess that tells you my age! Thank you for how you support the heritage of southern gospel!

    1. Thanks Jerry,
I try to place songs on the YouTube channel that are not already posted by someone else. Unfortunately I haven’t found a Rambos song that is not already on YouTube. If you can find one, let me know. That is also why you see very little Cathedrals music because most of their songs are already posted three and four times by other individuals.
