Southern Gospel Tidbits

DID YOU KNOW?:  Jim and Melissa Brady, traveled with Melissa’s father, Jack Shuler, as the Shulers in the 1990’s.  They recorded many songs that Jim would eventually take to the Booth Brothers, when he was a member.

  1. Yes, which is proof the lengths one has to take to be appreciated in SG. Karen Peck couldn’t have started without 10 years with the Nelons. Brian Free or Ivan Parker not without Gold City, the list goes on and on. Stowtown seems to be helping turn that tide somewhat though the newer groups they’re signing do seem to have to prove themselves with some independent chart success.

  2. I absolutely LOVED The Schulars when they came to sing at my church, Southside Baptist Tabernacle in Ypsilanti, MI. in the ’90’s. I bought their album, Bridging the Gap, and to this day it’s still my most favorite CD. I still fall to my knees in tears when I hear their music, hearing them so full of love and complete devotion to Him. They have been an incredible blessing in my life.
