DID YOU KNOW?: Willie Wynn’s claim to fame was his 15 years spent with the Oak Ridge Boys during the 1960’s, into the early 1970’s. When Willie left the Oaks, he formed the Tennesseans. The group recorded four albums between the years 1975 and 1977. The Tennesseans took the Oak Ridge Boys route in the late 1970’s and recorded a mainstream country album. Willie was absent from the Southern Gospel music scene during the 1980’s, but would re-surface in 1991, when he and George Amon Webster (of Cathedrals fame) would come together to form the group, Destiny. The group never really got off the ground and if memory serves correctly, Destiny only released one album in 1991; It Ain’t Over.
