2nd Annual Southern Gospel Views From The Back Row Honors – Categories Chosen

INVITATIONOn October 16th, 2015, I asked you to vote on the twenty categories, out of a list of thirty, you wanted as part of the 2nd Annual Southern Gospel Views from the Back Row honors.  Here is the list of twenty (by final vote tally).  Nominees will be announced next Monday (11/02/15).  Voting will begin on Wednesday (11/04/15).

  1. Album (has to be a 2015 release)
  2. Recorded Song (recorded on a 2015 album release, does not have to be a radio single)
  3. Artist – Quartet (vocal configuration with four male vocalists)
  4. Album Cover Design (2015 album release with the best album cover)
  5. Artist – Mixed Group (vocal configuration with a combination of at least four male/female vocalists)
  6. Single (top radio single of 2015, charted nationally between January and December 2015)
  7. Song Cover (previously recorded song, covered on a 2015 album release)
  8. Artist – Breakthrough/New (new artist who found success in 2015)
  9. Vocal Collaboration (two different artists who came together to record a song on a 2015 album release)
  10. Vocalist – Lead (top lead vocalist in any group configuration for 2015)
  11. Artist – Duo/Trio (vocal configuration with no more than three vocalists)
  12. Artist – Underrated (an established artist, having a great 2015, who is consistently overlooked by the majority of Southern Gospel listeners)
  13. Vocalist – Baritone (top baritone vocalist in any group configuration for 2015)
  14. Vocalist – Bass (top bass vocalist in any group configuration for 2015)
  15. Vocalist – Tenor (top tenor vocalist in any group configuration for 2015)
  16. Songwriter (top individual songwriter of 2015, based on chart success)
  17. Songwriting Collaboration Team (top songwriting team for 2015, based on chart success)
  18. Vocalist – Alto (top alto vocalist in any group configuration for 2015)
  19. Vocalist – Soprano (top soprano vocalist in any group configuration for 2015)
  20. Hall Of Fame – Individual (legend who deserves a Southern Gospel music hall of fame induction in 2015)
