Southern Gospel Tidbits

love-winsDID YOU KNOW?:

  • “Love does no harm to its neighbor.  Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.”
  • “Love your neighbor as yourself.  There is no commandment greater than these.”
  • “Love your enemies, do good to them and lend to them without expecting to get anything back.”
  • “Love is patient, love is kind.  It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.”
  • “Love is not rude, it is not self seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.”
  • “And now these three remain: faith, hope and love.  But the greatest of these is love.”
  • “Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.”
  • “Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God.  Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.”
  • “We love because he first loved us.”
  • “And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.”
  • “Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.”
  • “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son.”

Depending on what version (translation) of the bible you read, the word love is used over 550 times.  In contrast the word hate is used about 80 times.  That tells me that LOVE WINS!!!

  1. Beautiful!

Are you keeping tabs on southern gospel singers? quite a few of them are elderly, hope nobody had a heart attack or such.

It’s probably not easier for them to handle than desegregation of Christian schools back in the day..
