This week, the definitive Southern Gospel collection takes a look at the year 1989.  Gold City was dominating the fan awards, winning group, album (Movin’ Up) and all the individual vocal awards.  ”God On The Mountain” by the McKameys was song of the year in 1989 and the Kingdom Heirs picked up horizon group.

The Dove Awards saw the Cathedrals winning album (Goin’ In Style) and song (“Champion Of Love”).  There were plenty of strong Southern Gospel albums released in the year 1989.
