Smack Down!! – “I Know My God Can Do It”

It has been several weeks since the last smack down feature.  This week brings an up tempo Jeff Gibson tune titled “I Know My God Can Do It”.  Jeff Gibson was a member of Heaven Bound along with Lawrence Taylor, Allen Ham and Ken Eubanks.

In 1985, the group recorded a live album in Florence Alabama titled In Concert.  The group recorded “I Know My God Can Do It” on this particular album.  The group’s infectious style endeared them to many fans in the 1980′s and a career that lasted until about 2001.

The Old Paths released their new album Right Now several weeks ago.  Filled with cover songs, the Old Paths decided to re-record Jeff Gibson’s “I Know My God Can Do It” as one of those covers.
