As we get back to regularly scheduled programming after the march madness competition, I wanted to get back to the Southern Gospel song hall of fame series.  This week’s song inductee comes from newly inducted member in to the Southern Gospel music hall of fame; Jim Hill.

Jim Hill was not only known for his songwriting, as he spent time singing with JD Sumner & Stamps and the Statesmen during the 1960′s.  Jim’s most noted composition, “What A Day That Will Be”,  is this week’s inductee in to the Southern Gospel song hall of fame.

Here is a YouTube clip of one of the many Gaither Homecoming videos featuring Jim Hill, Donnie Sumner and Jimmy Blackwood performing “What A Day That Will Be”.  Enjoy!
